In the main event of the night, top contender, Urijah Faber will take on 28-1 Renan Barao for the Interim Bantamweight Championship to find out who will face Dominick Cruz. Faber and Cruz were set to fight each other after the Ultimate Fighter season was over but Dominick sustained an injury while on the show which would prevent him from being able to fight when the show was over. Barao, coming off a win over Scott Jorgensen, put himself into top contender status which then lead to this fight being set up. Renan has won all of his career MMA fights except one – his very first fight. He has been undefeated since 2005 with a win streak of 28. The question on many peoples minds is that how good was the competition he was facing? His most recent wins in the UFC have been over some decent fighters but nobody special. I guess we will have to wait and see!
